Our Saphara “Be the Change” 2023 team received their awards in assembly from Mrs Paula Strong and Ms Bernie Devlin from Saphara. The programme allows our young people (alongside members of St Patrick’s Grammar and The Assumption) to explore issues of poverty, social justice and equality. Our pupils took part in fundraising throughout the year and this goes to helping young people in some of the poorest communities in India. They also engaged with newcomer children in an event in June 2023.
The team also delivered an excellent presentation to the new Year 13 who will embark soon on their own Saphara journey.
The young people showed fantastic teamwork and organisational skills and their dedication is to be highly commended (raising over £5000 in total!)
