It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Down High School, a co-educational grammar school located in the historic town of Downpatrick and serving the needs of a wide area of County Down. In both the Senior School and the thriving PrepDepartment we believe that educational success is based on the high quality of the relationships between pupils, staff and parents and we make every effort to maintain and develop these through our excellent pastoral care system. I trust that navigating the website will give you a strong sense both of the school’s academic strength and the enjoyment that pupils and teachers take in the wide range of activities and experiences on offer.
