Sixth Form Intake Day: Thursday 25 August from 9.00am

3rd Aug 2016

Down High School is holding its annual 6th Form Intake Day on Thursday 25 August for students wishing to join us for 6th Form study. In recent years, Down High has been delighted to offer places in the Sixth Form to significant numbers of new students. We offer a broad range of subjects - 28 in all - consisting of traditional A-Levels, Applied A-Levels (such as Moving Image Arts, Health & Social Care and Travel & Tourism), and BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diplomas in ICT, Sport, Engineering and Business (in conjunction with SERC). We believe our expanded curriculum will appeal to the many well-motivated and ambitious learners in local 11-16 schools. The students who joined the school in recent years have achieved highly, with many accessing high-demand university places in Northern Ireland and across the UK.

Students and their parents are most welcome to come to the school from 9.00am on the 25th August. Please bring a statement of your GCSE results. We look forward to meeting with students and parents who wish to enjoy both the Sixth Form learning experience and excellent range of extra-curricular opportunities in Down High School.

You can find out more about the School's admissions criteria for Year 13 in the "Information for Parents" section of our website: www.downhighschool.org.uk/

Our Intake Day will be advertised in the local press in advance of the event.
