Nuffield Bursary for RSPB

10th Dec 2017

A-Level Biology students Paul McMeekin and Chris McKenna-Ell have been involved with ongoing research examining pollinator species in the local area. The boys were awarded a bursary by the RSPB and spent their summer investigating species diversity and species abundance. They had the opportunity to present their findings to the RSPB NI Members day in September.
They have now been invited to present their research to the RSPB UK members conference which will be held at the University of Nottingham in April next year. This is an impressive accolade for the boys and helps to promote the importance of ecological fieldwork in safeguarding local biodiversity.
