Examination Results
The academic achievements of our students in public examinations were again of the highest quality. Our pupils once more excelled at GCSE, Callum Burbidge and David McMorran becoming our Knox Memorial Scholars by securing 10 A* grades each at GCSE level, with Amy Geddes not far behind on 9 A*. In what was a particularly fine year for boys, Michael Getty and David McBriar each achieved eight A* grades.
At AS Level, James Bogie, Lauren Hackney, Patrick Johnston, Sam Lockhart and Rebecca Orr secured a remarkable 5 A grades each, with an additional nine students gaining four top grades. Last year’s Upper 6th produced some truly outstanding results, with Wendy Browne, Diane Cousins and Jennifer Furey attaining four A grades at A2 level, and a further eleven students gaining three As. We were delighted to hear that one of these, Claira Cinnamond, was awarded an Entrance Exhibition at Trinity College Dublin.
